My skills as a researcher mean I am able to dive into complex topics, compile information and fact-check with ease. I can apply my skills to various areas, and can research for scripts, blogs and articles. I have a particular interest in conservation and wildlife, and have excellent species identification skills for UK birds and mammals.
I completed a PhD in Environmental Psychology at Cardiff University, in collaboration with the Brecon Beacons National Park. This field of psychology is focused on investigating environmental behaviours (like recycling, energy saving) and the factors that influence how much people perform them. My work took me, literally, out into the field to investigate the environmental behaviours of visitors to the National Park. I also investgiated the impact of virtual reality nature on conservation attitudes and beliefs, and ways to reduce dog poo on a Bronze Age fortress!
I have worked a sa research assistant in various projects over the years. I have published work in world-leading journals and regional publications. From the wellbeing impacts of wetlands to public perceptions of fracking, much of my work has been focused on environmental issues and conservation.
